Amani is an entrepreneur based in Adelaide, South Australia. At 11 years old, she founded Bloom Babysitting, a business focused on building self-esteem and confidence in young people. She has since expanded into acquiring and operating multiple businesses Australia-wide, and is a huge advocate and mentor for young people. Her aim is to build empowered and self-confident communities of all ages. She is passionate about youth development, leadership, and building things that last.

About Me!

For as long as I can remember, I've been an entrepreneur! I was raised in a very conscious household with both my parents owning businesses. Whilst growing up, I always had a side hustle. I loved learning about money, earning money, managing money... and the way I would get my money would be through businesses!I created a bin cleaning business, picked up the dog poo in the backyard for a bonus chore earning me a whopping $1!!... I remember going to a dance class and selling wheat bags (that I sewed the night before) to all my friends for $10. I would sew scrunchies and make slime, then sell them to my friends at school... I even designed my own activewear business and found a manufacturer who sent me samples!When I was 11, I started babysitting for a single mum with a 5yo and a 5-month-old. At the time, I didn't realise how crazy that sounds because I was so mature, confident and responsible! The mum normally worked from home, which meant I had that extra layer of safety! I grew up with 2 younger sisters, and later on in my teen years, I had 2 younger step-brothers as well. Being the caring, generous, 'mum-like' older sister was in my blood from day 1, so babysitting felt so natural to me.
At 14, I decided to create a FB page so my babysitting families could refer me to their friends more easily. Little did I know that 2 years later, at just 16 years old, I would launch "BLOOM"! A babysitting business with a team of 5 babysitters in Adelaide that not only offers the one-of-a-kind CONSCIOUS babysitting, but also offers dance classes, party hosting and mentoring for children!!BLOOM began to grow, and so did I! Fast forward almost 9 years, the babysitting gig I had in the school holidays is now an Australian-wide babysitting company, Bloom Babysitting, and built on the side to this, is Thrivly (thriving-family)... a soon-to-be... one-stop shop for multiple services that are provided to help families THRIVE!!Building an empire in my teen years came with a lot of life lessons, highlights, fun times, setbacks, and everything in between! I was bullied throughout all of high school for being 'too loud', 'too confident', a 'teacher's pet', a 'try hard', and so many more horrible names these kids called me... all because I was willing to step out and show up authentically as myself, and chase my dreams! I was in multiple leadership roles, speaking in whole school assemblies with over 2000 people, attending conferences, doing well in my classes, all whilst running a business with a team of 20 babysitters at the time!Some say that 'high achiever' is just in my blood, but I say it's the result of being absolutely, wholeheartedly, true to myself, no matter what others said or thought. The only opinion that has ever mattered to me was my opinion of myself... and I think I'm pretty cool! ;)These days, I run Bloom Babysitting and mentor 30+ babysitters, training them through my Conscious Babysitter Program. I also personally mentor hundreds of young adults through my 1:1 Private Mentoring program. This is focused on building self-esteem and self-confidence by overcoming life's challenges and developing positive coping strategies that focus not only on fixing the behaviour, but the internal belief system! I also run entrepreneurial mentoring programs, helping teenagers and young adults between the ages of 12-25 start businesses, learn about handling money, and so much more! I am constantly speaking on stages, running workshops, and ultimately, using my life's purpose to teach and inspire others to use theirs! This is what I love most, and I hope to never stop!!I truly am so grateful for the life I have created for myself, and I am so honoured to be able to have the platform and the audience to help others create a life they love too!Whether that be through leaving your children with a trained, conscious babysitter who will boost your child's self-esteem, a 1:1 mentoring session where I help you come home to who you truly are, or whether it be tuning into my podcast I run with my mum... or anything else...
